Prices by type of work
A routine service is the most basic and most frequent job. A chemical wash costs more because it involves opening the unit up and using dedicated chemicals.
Ceiling cassettes always cost more than wall-mounted units because the work needs a ladder, floor protection and considerably more time.
- Routine wall-mounted service — from RM80 per unit
- Wall-mounted chemical wash — from RM130 per unit
- Ceiling cassette service — from RM200 per unit
- Cassette chemical overhaul — from RM350 per unit

Why quotes differ between companies
The real difference is usually scope, not quality. A RM50 quote almost always means rinsing the filters and nothing else — the coil and drain line are never touched.
Ask plainly: is the coil cleaned? Is the drain checked? Is the gas pressure measured? Those three questions separate a real service from a filter wipe.
Discounts for multiple units
Most companies, ourselves included, charge less per unit when several are serviced in one visit. The travel and setup cost is shared across them.
If your home has three or four units, scheduling them together is almost always cheaper than calling a technician out three times across the year.

When repair beats replacement
As a rough guide, if a repair costs more than half the price of a new unit and the existing one is past eight years old, replacing it usually works out better.
A failed compressor on a ten-year-old unit is the classic case. We will tell you when that is the situation rather than selling a repair that will not last.
